Preposition

1.      Meaning

 Preposition is placed word before noun or pronoun for refer context with parts sentences is other.

2.      Of All Kind Preposition

·         AT, IN (place = tempat)

In is used for national name or big city, at is used for small city.

Example :

ø  Juwita live in Jakarta

ø  I passed my holidays at sukabumi

·         AT, IN, ON (time = waktu)

At is used for time exactly, at is used for parts time, and on is used for day or date.

Example :

ø  I usually get up at six o’clock

ø  He takes a walk in the afternoon

·         BESIDE, BESIDES

Beside is used for evident activities, and preposition besides for expression.

Example :

ø  He comes and sit beside me

ø  We study French besides English

·         BETWEEN, AMONG

Between used between two, whereas among is used between menay people and others.

Example :

ø  I stand between the two of girls

ø  I stand among a crowd of girls

·         BY, BEFORE, SINCE

It’s can used for limit time.

Example :

ø  You must go home by five o’clock

ø  She didn’t go home before five o’clock

ø  She has been here since five o’clock
